I live on Sanibel Island Florida, My morning routine has been beach run @Sunrise to the light house & back (4mi) . It’s dreamy for sure but hard to stay focused always stopping to snap a picture, pick up a interesting shell 🐚 or stop to watch the Dolphins 🐬 give the morning show which is nearly every day ... It takes discipline to put blinders on & not be distracted by all the beauty around. This am I tried something new & met a friend at 6 am in the pitch dark as there’s no light pollution here for the sea turtles 🐢 & ran along trails the alligators 🐊 are near. It was a daring bold adventure but anything is possible with a friend. 😊

I participate in a half marathon each month for charity. So far I have had my 50th half in Weymouth UK, 51st in Waikiki Hawaii, 52nd in Long Beach California and 53rd Manchester UK cancel ~ Hurry up and go away C19! I have been participating "virtually" on my treadmill, it's just not the same.

Hi Terrell. It is good to hear from you again. I am originally from Puerto Rico but I have been living in Newark, New Jersey since I came to the USA in the early seventies. I train at Branch Brook Park, one of the oldest urban parks in the US but I run anywhere I can. I have been running only since 2016 when I turned 70 and I am getting ready to run my 5th marathon at the end of October.

Hey guys, I live in Mass as well in a little city known as Dorchester (well maybe not so little), I run often using my neighborhoods, local parks and one of my favs, The Blue Hills. Always a great way to start the day and keep going.

Got diagnosed with my mom this week for C19. I have to say I'm thankful that I had running as it has helped me through this (being fit & healthy) before C19. I still try to be as active as possible. Can't wait to be able to really get out and get back into the full swing.

Brooklyn! Taking advantage of the empty roads. I go everywhere where there are less people. I have been avoiding the main parks & waterfront since they tend to be

crowded and quite challenging to social distance. I also love running all the bridges especially Manhattan and Williamsburg bridge (but avoid them too if I see it crowded) Brooklyn bridge is amazing to run now. Especially when it’s raining. No one in sight! Also I have been running all over my neighborhood which I rarely did before. Clinton Hill is so charming. Soho, Lower East Side, Broadway through Times Square - so many places to run!

I hail from Pasadena, California where I have close access to the Angeles National Forest and the Santa Monica Mountains where I hike frequently (though not right now). For running and walking, I have the Pasadena Rose Bowl loop (though not right now) and many other wonderful parks and recreation areas. For my virtual half marathon, I've mapped out 13.1 miles around the city where I will tour the neighborhoods.

Hi! I live in Saskatoon, Saskatchewan up in Canada. I love running along the riverbank in Saskatoon, and I also love running up at the lake through the northern forest where we spend most of our weekend. There is something so therapeutic and peaceful about running in the trees with no one around. When I am travelling, nationally or internationally, I love getting to know a city by foot. Running is such a great way to explore a new city or enjoy the beauty of nature at home.

Jay, here from Pueblo West CO.. I am very fortunate for I lived next Lake Pueblo State Park and can take off running right from the house. There are 38 miles of trails that are open to me so usually I run those. Nothing is flat and there is always something new that I see each time I run. I have a few half Marathons under the belt or maybe it should be underfoot and currently planning to another even if it is just my own course. Running keeps me sane and in shape to do all the other activities that I enjoy. Current Goal (started on March 13th) is to run at least one mile a day for a year and to have ran at least 600 miles in 2020.

I live & run in Las Vegas, Nevada. Because I’m in a more urban part of Vegas, I run around my neighborhood—on sidewalks & in streets. (Everyone always asks about running here in the summer. I run in early mornings or go to a gym & suffer on a treadmill.)

My family has a cabin above Cedar City, Utah, and I love to run up there in the summers on dirt roads. The only thing I really worry about there are mountain lions & off road vehicles.

Right now, I live in the greater Philadelphia area...but we are moving to either the San Francisco or Sacramento area (once the military travel ban is lifted). Not a half marathon but Broad Street 10 Mile Run in Philadelphia is amazing! I love the Atlantic City half marathons down the NJ shore too! I don't have a favorite spot to run, I'll run (pretty much) anywhere safe.

I’m currently in Portland, Oregon but only for another week. I work as a short term contract worker so I travel quite a bit! Next up I’ll either go wherever my next job is (which is still TBD) or move back with my parents in Michigan’s upper peninsula if a job doesn’t pan out soon. (Which is also okay since I have a great relationship with my parents). I enjoy running wherever I am. It’s a great way to explore a new area and get a feel for a place.

I live in the Charleston, WV area. I don't have a good place to run where my house is so I travel around the Kanawha Valley area to get my runs in. I like to run the local races (when we get to have them) but prefer to travel for longer races such as half marathons. Last year we traveled to Arizona for the Revel Mount Lemmon. We had a great time and hopefully we can do something like that again within the next year.

I moved to Newport, Oregon 2 years ago. It's amazing for running. 1 mile to the beach, 1 mile to the bayfront and trails all around. Unfortunately in between are lots and lots of hills! I have to remind myself that they are 'good' for me. I have been trying to run a half marathon in a different state each time (8 halfs/8 states) so my virtual races aren't helping with that goal.

So far I don't see anyone claiming Idaho as home. I live in farming/ranching country with MANY miles of trails and dirt road to explore. Was training for the Banff National Park Half in June but now (since I don't have the push to train) I am mostly hiking and exploring. Most of my longer runs were done on Guam where we lived for 15 years. Sometime, Terrell, you should do the Guam Running Club's marathon. It's small but you see some incredible ocean views most of the run. (It starts in the wee hours of the morning to avoid most of the heat once the sun rises.)

Hello! I live in Cheyenne WY, and have a lovely greenway right outside my door where I do most my running. It connects with most the town so I can change it up a bit. I hit races down in Colorado mostly for a change in pace and scenery and try to hit the rural areas and mountains close by for a few fun runs each year. I run when I travel as well. Some of the favorite places I’ve got to run is along the coast in San Diego and a beautiful swampy area outside Palm Coast Florida.

Hi Terrell!

This is Holly, from A2 (Ann Arbor), Michigan - our mitten state. I love running, around town and in local parks, especially those alongside the river. I've ran several short races and really enjoy participating in sprint triathlons and hiking. My goal is to participate in a half or full marathon in the next two years. Thank you for your emails, you inspire and motivate me! I too, love running wherever I'm vacationing nad have fortunately, enjoyed many beautiful, intriguing sights from the road in multiple destinations. Athletics is its' own common language. I work in healthcare and need running, walking, hiking to purge; always have. Again, thank you for your emails and posting platforms. Heels up, stay healthy and active everyone and take good care! ~Holly

As a first responder we want all of you to be healthy enough to run your races later this year!

Hello from Redondo Beach, California -- south of LA, on the coast. I feel incredibly blessed to be in a place where beautiful running routes are plentiful and varied (mountains, beaches, city) and the weather means I can run outside year-round. Even though a lot of my normal routes (especially the ones on the water) are closed, I'm still finding new ones to explore every week.

I previously lived in NYC, Hong Kong and Beijing and am originally from Indiana. My favorite thing to do when I travel to a new place is go for a run to explore, and I ran quite a few amazing races in Asia when I lived there (Grassland Marathon in Inner Mongolia is amazing, as is the Angkor Wat half in Cambodia). Always happy to recommend running routes if anyone is any of these spots and looking!

Thanks for bringing this community together, Terrell. It's so cool to see so many people from all over and I'm happy to be a small part of it.

I live in southwest Montana, about forty miles from the Idaho border. Since I live on a ranch my daily run (or ski during snow season, which lasts from December to April usually) is lace up, head out the door and do a couple miles through the pastures. My long run is more of the same, but head out onto Forest Service roads. Lots of hills, lots of solitude for me and my pack of cow dogs. Unfortunately, there are also a few bears, cougers and wolves in the area, so I have to take that into account depending on the time of year.

Deb, I reside outside of the Detroit Michigan area. I usually run in my neighborhood, adjoining cities or parks. My all time favorite place is when we spend time on Mackinaw Island . It’s 8 miles around. I get up and hit the road before 6AM. I’ve seen beautiful sun rises, listen to the waves gently (most mornings) coming in. No cars are on the island. I do meet up with other runners, help walking to their place of employment & also scared a few people as I round curves with my headlight.
