Thank you for sharing the points from Meb. He spoke at the spaghetti dinner the night before I ran my 1st AF marathon in ‘16. But I did not go and have often wished I did. He shares some great things. Simple but so very helpful.

Thank you also for sharing the Drawing Links from Edith. I had to laugh at one she put on there. It shows a list of goals and someone trying to accomplish them in the first year of running. That is pretty much what I did. In my first year I did a 10k then a half 3 months later and then 2 fulls in the next 6 months. I was even contemplating a 50 miler after those.

Fortunately I did not get completely burned out. I am so glad I have stuck with it. That first Nov when I started I also found your newsletter. (‘15) It continues to be fresh and a big help 4-1/2 years later!

thanks, Terrell - new to the group and planning to do the Monterey Bay virtual - needed a goal as corona lockdown not always lent itself to discipline

Wow! That strandbeest was amusing and soothing at the same time. Thank you for sharing :)

I really liked the saying “progress patiently”. I always say I’m a work in progress so adding “patiently” removes any rush or haste to that. We should give ourselves more grace instead of beat yourselves up for what we didn’t do and be happy when we do what we set out to do.

Got 3.1 down for today. That’s all and that ok, right? :)
